Tour description:
This tour to the Masoala National Park is among the best tour we offer to the tourists. The visit of Masoala National Park starts from a boat trip from Maroantsetra to reach the Masoala peninsula. Masoala National park is the biggest rain forest in Madagascar which is home to the endemic wildlife of Madagascar like the Red Ruffed Lemurs, the very rare Helmeted Vanga and the leaf tailed geckos called Uroplatus fimbriatus...
This Masoala tour also includes visit and camping on Nosy Mangabe. There is also an extension to the marine park of Masoala for diving and where you can see the hump backed whales between June and September.
We also organize a birding tour to Masoala.
NB: We also organize extension with several days of hike and camping in Masoala National Park. You can walk from Maroantsetra to the Cap east, please require the tour program for any extensions!

Circuit: Tana – Maroantsetra – Masoala – Nosy Mangabe – Maroantsetra – Tana
The visit starts a day after arrival or on arrival at the international airport.
Day 1: Fly to Maroantsetra and boat trip to Masoala
Transfer to the airport to catch the flight to Maroantsetra. In Maroantsetra, boat trip to Masoala. Overnight at Arrolodge Hotel
Day 2: Full day visit of the Masoala National Park Visite du Parc National
Full day visit with packed picnic lunch with a local guide: Black white Ruffed Lemurs, Helmeted Vanga, other wildlife species: frogs, leaf tailed geckos, Birds…
Overnight in a Hotel

Day 3: Boat trip to the marine Park of Masoala
This is more a honey moon holiday. With your picnic lunch, you will be transported to the marine park of Masoala. You will have your own beach; you can dive or just relax to enjoy your day. You may see the hump backed whales while you are relaxing on your own white and soft sandy beach.
Speed boat back to Masoala lodge? Overnight in a Hotel Recommended Hotel in Masoala: Arrolodge or Ecolodge Chez Arrol
Day 4: Boat transfer to Nosy Mangabe and night walk
Morning boat trip to Nosy Mangabe; visit of the island for its wildlife. Relax before the night walk. Night walk with the local guide to see the nocturnal species of animals: mouse Lemurs, leaf tailed Geckos, if very lucky: the Aye Aye or the world most endangered mammal (Lemurs) Overnight camping in Nosy Mangabe.
Day 5: Boat transfer from Nosy Mangabe to Maroantsetra, fly to Tana
In the Morning, transfer by boat from Nosy Mangabe to Maroantsetra then drive to the airport to catch the flight to Tana. In Tana, transfer to the Hotel.
End of the Masoala tour.
