The Tsingy de Bemaraha is among the best National Park to visit in Madagascar. This is the biggest protected area in Madagascar and is classified a Natural World Heritage by Unesco. Next to the gorge of the Manambolo River, you can visit the Petit Tsingys which are labyrinths of pointed rocks. The Grand Tsingys have 3 kikes with 2 suspension bridges. In the forest canyons, the Tsingy de Bemaraha has its endemic species among the Madagascar wildlife: the Decken’s Sifakas, the Schlegel’s Asity, the local endemic nocturnal mouse Lemurs: the Pygmy mouse Lemurs (Microcebus Myoxinus)… This visit of the Tsingy de Bemaraha includes the visit of the Kirindy forest where you can see the Lemur’s predator called fossa. On the road to Morondava, you can visit the Baobab trees and spend the sunset at the Baobabs Avenue.

Rating 4: moderate:
The 5 to 6 hours hike requires good level of fitness. Fitter you are, more you will enjoy your hike to the Petit Tsingy and the Big Tsingy.
Rating 5: strenuous: Full-day hikes, steep ups and downs especially if you hike to the Sportif circuit or the Broadway circuit which require very high level of fitness.

b-The sportif hike is a full day hike in the small Tsingy. For very fit people, this hike is among the best hike to do in the Tsingy because of its forest and wildlife, its caves, with its abseiling…
2. If you have less time, it’s possible to explore the Small and the Big Tsingy in 1 day which still requires 2 nights stay in the Hotel in the Tsingy.
3. The best way to leave Morondava is to fly with Air Madagascar, check your internal flight at: http://www.alternativeairlines.com/Flights
4. Young and fit people instead of flying can take a taxi brousse back to Tana or Antsirabe to save money; check: Taxi brousse.
5. If you don’t have any time to go to the beach, Morondava offers an opportunity to stay on the beach which is on the North of the city.
Also you can visit a fishing village of the Vezo people and know more about this nomad people who work on the sea, camp on small Islands and only go to Morondava to sell sea food.
