This tour combines the canoe trip down the Tsiribihina River and the visit of the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park.
The Tsiribihina River tour requires an English speaking tour guide who is also a good cook. After the river, drive to the Tsingy of Bemaraha for 2 days visit of the National Park. The Tsingy de Bemaraha tour includes hike to the most spectacular limestone’s pinnacles in the World. The Decken’s Sifaka is the specie of Sifaka which can be seen in the Petit Tsingy and in the Grand Tsingy in the Tsingy National Park. The Tsingy Park is among the rare places to see the Ring tailed Mongoose and some endemic of the Birds of Madagascar like the Schlegel’s Asity and the Madagascar fish eagle…

Rating 1: easy: The canoe trip along the Tsiribihina River is a relaxing break. You are required to carry your pack on and off the dugout canoe, up hotel steps, etc
Rating 4: moderate: the 2 to 6 hours hike requires good level of fitness. Fitter you are, more you will enjoy your hike to the Petit Tsingy and the Big Tsingy.
Rating 5: strenuous: Full-day hikes, steep ups and downs especially if you hike to the Sportif circuit or the Broadway circuit which require a high level of fitness.

NB: Another possibility is to take a zebu cart to Tsiraraka village, walk through remote villages then spend the third night in a basic bungalow where cold drinks are served under a baobab tree.

1. It is possible to drive straight from Tana to Miandrivazo if you have less time
2. It is possible to go down the river with only 2 nights camping and get to Tsingy on the 3rd day.
3. If you have less time, it’s possible to explore the Small and the Big Tsingy in 1 day which still requires 2 nights stay in the Hotel in the Tsingy.

5. Young and fit people instead of flying can take a taxi brousse back to Tana or Antsirabe to save money; check: Taxi brousse.
6. If don’t have any time to go to the beach, Morondava offers an opportunity to stay on the beach which is on the North of the city.
Also you can visit a fishing village of the Vezo people and know more about this nomad people who work on the sea, camp on small Islands and only go to Morondava to sell sea food.
